Why Josh is an Engineering Leader
Since joining Arclin in 2014 as an Engineering Intern, Josh Landrum has progressed through several positions locally, including Automation Engineer and Plant Engineer, and was recently promoted to Corporate Project Engineer at Arclin’s headquarters in Georgia. While employed with Arclin he has contributed significantly to the growth of the facility, the reliability of the equipment, and the safety of employees.
Achievements, Advancement & Career-related Industry Contributions
Josh has led numerous capital projects to increase the stability of the plant while reducing costs. He designed and installed a wastewater discharge system, with the approval of the city, to discharge water from the process to the city sewer, which saved the plant more than $400,000 per year. He also upgraded the site’s emergency power systems in order to make the exothermic reactions safer in the event of power loss. To increase throughput on a sold-out asset, Josh designed and installed cooling coils in the storage tanks, allowing for finished goods to be pumped out at higher temperature. Josh was also heavily involved in the maintenance department, helping train and mentor new maintenance technicians.
Non-work-related Activities & Hobbies
In his free time, Josh enjoys billiards, golf and playing basketball. He enjoys the friendly competition while trying to perfect a craft.
