In an interview with Control Engineering, Gray AES CEO Dowell Hoskins and Bob Bove, Gray AES vice president of sales, outlined the strategic decision behind consolidating services. Prior to this, there were different teams participating in customer engagements. The new set up simplifies engagement for the customer making it easier to do business with Gray AES while amplifying existing expertise.

“We are staying true to the core market we serve, which is industrial manufacturing, so nothing changes,” said Hoskins. “All the people stay the same who were servicing our customers [and] our service offerings stay the same, although we may grow and expand in certain areas. But it was an effort to more efficiently serve our customer base and organize in a way that they would appreciate.”

With deep domain expertise in food and beverage, CPG, and general manufacturing, the Gray AES team understands the unique industry needs. “Our people are from those industries and know the industry challenges,” Bove said. “We feel it’s a great value for our customers.”

The depth of knowledge also positions the company for future growth from architecture to design to commissioning. “We see a lot of demand for automation and robotic services, so we’ll be investing in that space to grow as customers demand,” Hoskins said.
